This utility was built into the BIOS of my machine which was from 2004, so you should probably have the same. If your getting the error on both disks in the RAID and not able to boot the OS then I would say we have different problems. As explained later, or somewhere else, one drive was marked with an error after a crash and re-building the RAID fixed it.
