I'm at a loss for words here. I did not see this error in 8.04. thanks peter linuxduke (cspechetty) wrote on 2008-11-09: #21 Hi, I am also getting the same errors. I have burned this ISO a second time at 10x speed to a different CD, with the same result and exactly the same sector & logical blocks giving the error. http://renderq.net/i-o-error/i-o-error-dev-sr0-sector.php
I attached photos of the error and I don't know with precision the affected package. I'm stuck! workarround is still the same - remove CD/DVD/BD disk from "CD/DVD/BD burner". That might be worth trying.

Have gone over the process of formatting the USB twice and "buring" the iso on it with unetbootin twice. Inserting some other burned discs also result in I/O errors, though not all. But of course the **device** capabilities don't matter when the CD **media** is not in fact write-able; therefore, the attempt to write fails and an error is reported.
