Download Hirens Boot CD 15.2 from the usual places. I even went to bootdisk and got a new Win98 boot disk on a brand new floppy disk. Will any hardware confluct with the floppy drive? Old vinyl cutters......The trouble is the floppies are old too. The player is no longer recognized by my pc (OS Windows XP).
In your situation it would be interesting to see if Linux has any issues with your floppy drive.Don't assume it is terribly difficult stuff. If that turns out to be the case, you may need to change it which I imagine requires soldering skills. Select the appropriate submenu in Device Manager Find the appropriate drive/device and right click on it and select Properties Then uhh… oh… there is no advanced settings tab… hm….

most of the images I write give me an error at 99% but they work just fine. Its not supporting 5.25 FDD...Everything looks normal ....
