FRU 3610: 36 = System board & 10 = Battery. But the CMOS battery is good? I hear a noise, but its probably the HD since there is no air coming from the vent holes. After setting the date, it was back to normal.
Googling for "FRU 3810" will be more fruitful. Nevertheless, as my battery was not totally dead, I could force the IBM to boot into windows from the IBM Test screen by pressing 'reboot' and then pressing F1.
